Cafe Coyote - Blogger Blitz April 2015

Kate Oliver

Q:  What do you get with a bunch a foodies in Old Town?

A:  A #bloggerblitz

The #bloggerblitz was coordinated by my wonderful friend +Curateur Magazine for a meetup!

I previously met Marie via +McFarlane Promotions for the Taste of Downtown in November 2014.  It was such a fun time!

I was excited to be able to see Hilary from Starbright's Kitchen was there too. It was her birthday week, so there was another reason to celebrate!

+CafeCoyote OldTown opened their patio to several of us foodies to have dinner and taste tequila.  Hah!  They had me at tequila.  We received a pitcher of margarita, which I could not say no to...

It was very delicious and gone, in no time. Cadillac margarita on the rocks = delicious!!

Cadillac Margarita! Yes Please!!

Two Fiesta Samplers were greeted to us as well. The chicken flautas and the taquitos were my favorite.  Oh, we also had a tequila sampler from the Cointreau Ambassador (Cointreau, tequila and sour mix).  We drank up that shot, but I got a pic of our Ambassador!!

She looks like someone I know/knew. I do believe that there is a group pic with our shots!

I bet you didn't know that #Foodies can have fun too!!!

Muhahaha, yes we can!

What is this?

Appetizers??

Oddly enough, I was never a fan of guacamole.  Usually there is onions galore in it.  The other thing, well, I was not a fan of avocados before.  Lol, that was years ago.  Now I am ALL about #AVOCADOS and guacamole.

Since we were sitting on the patio it was so great to be immersed in the ambiance.  Immersed with the other guests, listening to the laughter, the music of the wandering guitarists,  the street. Children in the candy shop next to us.

Then this came:

You must have the sangria! I don't know what they put in it, but you can't even tell there is alcohol in it.  I am not sure if that is good or bad.

Carne Asada and jumbo seasoned tequila lime shrimp, melted butter, beans and rice.  Oh...and guacamole. I think this was supposed to come with tortillas or it should have.

I forgot what Marie ordered, but they are tacos.

Dinner was fantastic.  I like networking with other bloggers in San Diego.  I feel like the foodie community is so small that you definitely run into others at the same events from time to time.  As I said, I met Hilary at the Taste of Downtown, as well as Lynn Le from Oh So Yummy.  The best thing is getting a different opinion from different bloggers on the same topic or location.

Ah, so every month Cafe Coyote changes their drink and food specials.  This month you can see what specials there are.

We like Tequila Thursdays.  Also, tortillas are hand made.  Winner Winner!
