This week I go to my first orientation for a six week fitness challenge that starts on March 14th. The challenge is being hosted by Everlast Fitness in San Marcos. Man!!
i signed up for the challenge for a few things:
1: I am in dire need of getting back into shape. After transitioning from military to civilian life, and mom life no doubt, I just didn't make the time to exercise, like I should have. With relationships faltering, I found comfort in food. Cooking, baking you know, that kind of thing. I was a size 6 in 2003. It's 2016 and I am a size 16.
2: I volunteered (with my attorney) to run the Suja Rock n Roll Half Marathon through brightpink.org!! Yep. I like running, but I need to cross train for endurance. 13.1 miles is alot. I didn't exactly partake in the Divas Half Marathon, but I plan to for 2017! Below is the link to my fundraising page for #teambrightpink!

3: I am turning 40 this year. I need to get my butt in gear!!
4: My husband is 16 years my junior. Come to your own conclusion with that! Don't judge. Love is love, no matter the age difference.
5: I need to be healthy. Even though I am adopted, I need to keep a clean bill of health not only for me, but for my son. I don't know my family medical history. I feel it is better to be there now rather than scrambling to be healthy later.
Even if you exercise a little bit, it's better than not. Eating right helps too. Stay tuned!!
