Clean Cookies

Kate Oliver

Uhm! Yes please! I finally...I mean finally made a dish off popsugar. There were several, but since I am "eating clean", these cookies are pretty much on the clean side.

Ready for the ingredients?

banana, craisins, oatmeal

What I used:

4 ripe bananas, 1 cup of  craisins, 2 cups of multigrain oatmeal, and one egg.

When I watched the video, I noticed that there wasn't something holding the oatmeal together. You know...all cookies need an egg. It's just weird to me. Okay, it's my opinion that cookies need an egg to keep it together.

The batter

The batter

So, normally, when making some type of oatmeal cookie you drop it on the pan. Meaning you take a teaspoon of batter and drop it on a non-stick cookie sheet then throw that guy in the oven to bake for 15 minutes. With this batter, I shaped them into a cookie (as directed in the video) and placed them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Place it in the oven at 350 degrees and bake a minimum of 15 minutes. Pretty sure I let mine bake for 20 minutes. Easy clean up!

Yummy!!!

Yummy!!!

I like how natural these cookies are. There is no masking of the oatmeal with flour. These cookies keep you full! This is my new "go to" " no guilt" cookie. No guilt for sure with natural sugar from the craisins and banana.

Win win!

Try the recipe and let me know!
