Original Recipe here.

What do you do with a can of pumpkin?

So normally, pumpkin is for the holidays, right?  Well, I used it to basically, get in good with my husband's new co-workers.  LOL.  Listen, I baked for his last command.  You know, sweet potato pie.  Mashed sweet potatoes. I like sending Hubs off to work with a yummy lunch.  Yea....I am that wife.

Okay, back to the pumpkin bread.  I got the original recipe from Allrecipes.com.

I followed the directions, until it got to the ground cloves.  Who has ground cloves?  I only have whole cloves.  So, what did I do?  I ground the whole cloves in my mortar and pestle. YEP! I sure did.  It wasn't bad actually.  I think it took me about five minutes to ground the cloves. I had enough that equaled the 1 teaspoon that the recipe called for!

The recipe makes 2 loaves. I had to tell hubby to take one loaf to work with him to share with his co-workers.  I mean that was the whole idea anyhow, lol!

The other loaf will be his breakfast the next few days, to go with the pasta I made for him.

Here is the result of the pumpkin bread:

Hubby said that the pumpkin loaf was gone once he shared it with his co-workers.
